The Fisherwomen Docu-series

Bringing These Stories to the World

The Fisher Women is a global docu-series following women across coastal and island communities who share practical skills, cultural wisdom and leadership, proving that when a woman gains knowledge, an entire community rises.

  • At the heart of the Blue Lagoon eco-village, a newly built adobe dome will serve as a vibrant center for community learning, healing and cultural exchange. It's where The Fisher Women comes to life through hands-on education and holistic well-being programs.

Fiji Organic village, our home-grown Ecovillage is a 20-minute walk from the main village of Vuake.

The land is held in common ownership by all 250 people in the clan, and each one personally signed off on our 80+ year lease.

They gave us this honor as a result of our past multi-year commitment to deliver free medical aid, and providing sustainability education, emergency transport and response.

  • Collaboration with Māori and Pacific Islander communities ensuring these structures respects and celebrate indigenous wisdom, traditions and ways of knowing.

  • After being trained by Phillip and team, the women lead the creation of a sustainable community healing and learning space rooted in cultural tradition and modern care.

Storytelling is not separate from Building. When communities are seen, heard, and remembered, dignity is restored alongside homes, schools, and gathering places. Film allows these women’s wisdom, resilience, and leadership to travel far beyond the places where the work is done.
